- Slope angle in degreesLay a ski pole on the slope along the fall line and place your phone on it – the app shows the angle and classifies it: moderately steep, steep, very steep, extremely steep.
- Camera modeMeasure a slope from a distance: view it from the side and use the camera image to align your phone with its profile.
- Live aspect roseThe rose of each avalanche problem turns with the compass, so you see at once whether your slope is affected.
- Altitude & positionAltitude and coordinates with GPS accuracy – handy for the elevation boundary in the bulletin.

Save your regions as favourites and get notified when your chosen danger level is reached there or a new bulletin is published.
Works without signal
Bulletins, regions and weather are stored on your device. Without reception SnowSafe shows the latest data and tells you how old it is.

Your regions and weather stations sit on the home screen with their current danger level and readings – the current region comes via GPS.

The forecast for your location is free in SnowSafe. MetGIS Premium adds high-resolution forecasts and weather maps from MetGIS, the mountain weather specialists from Vienna.
